I bought it a month ago and it works great even at -22°C and it doesn't consume much power. I'm very happy! I use it every day and only with the Wi-Fi app.
It's been running for heat only, at an uninsulated cottage for over a year. Much cheaper than insulating the place. Super comfortable all year (but in BC, so temperature doesn't get too far below zero). No more need for fires or facing huge heating bills from baseboard electric heat. Has survived many power failures without an issue. We got a 24,000 BTU unit for a 900sf cottage, so it could easily keep up. Couldn't have done the install without 25 foot copper pre-charged lines.
The unit was super easy to install. The unit is super quiet compared to the 10 year old unit i removed. Very pleased with the performance of this unit. Keeps our living and Kitchen area ( 1100sq ft) open area at the perfect temperature. Only thing i would have liked to see is a shorter set up tubing. I have about 8ft rolled up and sits behind the unit. Probably get AC tech to come in and remake the connections and repressurize the system.
Appears to be a very good quality product. I've installed other brands of mini splits in the past, and this was as straightforward as any of the higher end brands. It's been running for several weeks with no issues.

Purchased about 1 month ago. Had an ac company install. Was quick and easy. Has worked great at keeping the place nice and cool. Very quiet.

Probably one of the best things i have ever purchased. Excellent quality and very simple installation.
I believe it took about 7 hours, and that included putting in a new 220v breaker and running a line to where the heat pump was installed. I also had to move the AC disconnect box once, as it was too far away from the unit. We previously used firewood to heat our home, which was messy and potentially hazardous to our health. The house just stays at a nice 22C now, with no extra work. We'll keep the wood stove and firewood for cold snaps - not sure how the unit will do when it's -5C and the wind is blowing. Also looking forward to trying the cooling function on hot days.
Quick installation, no need to charge
Very easy to install - just followed the instructions to the letter. Took around 3 hours. Quality of the components is great. Very pleased with the results. This unit was needed to heat a previously unheated laundry room and adjoining spaces, and it does the job admirably. One note - don't use the app "scheduling" option. Use the automations option instead. The scheduling is unreliable. The app in general is not great, but it works with Google and that's all we wanted.
I don't write a lot of reviews, but this 12000 BTU heat pump really impressed me. All aspects were well made, fit together without any issues and I found the instructions to be sufficient in most cases (exceptions below). I did watch some youtube videos as well. It works like a charm. Two items to note. 1. The hole for fastening for the conduit to the outside unit from the disconnect box (photo included), does not fit a 3/4" fastener. I was hoping to use 3/4" liquid tight conduit but only a 1/2" conduit would fit. The ESA rep was fine with this. 2. In the instructions to set up the Android app, it does say what device to choose. I thought "Heat Pump" made sense but didn't work. I called Perfect Aire and they were wonderful. Turns out you need to select, "Splt air conditioner". Not intuitive, but it worked.
This thing is fantastic. Now, to be fair, we went from a portable air conditioner (10,000 BTU) that ported the exhaust air outside to this so it isn't apples to apples but my house now gets cold. Not kind of cool, not comfortable but cold. You can set it not to make you miserable, but I wanted to see what it could do. I couldn't be happier with the purchase. Installation was involved but it wasn't hard at all. Mounted the unit on an exterior wall clad inside in tile. Hit the studs and was off. Poured a concrete pad for the outdoor unit and put it on a 3/4 inch thick rubber pad. It isn't silent, but it is pretty close. Ok, that is a lie, but it is much quieter than I would have suspected. It heats, but I don't know how well yet because it hasn't gotten cold enough to test. I ran it in heating mode and it made the house uncomfortable rather quickly but at the time the outside temperature was 18C so it wasn't the best test. I am gambling that it is going to work out because I didn't buy any firewood this year. Wish me luck.
